I’ve been asked a number of times what the real benefits are of meal replacement bars over shake. Now I personally don’t really like bars but I can see a few benefits which can be highlighted.
The main benefit is that you can more easily transport a bar compared to a shake. A bar can be carried in your pocket and easily eaten throughout the day. Whilst a shake usually needs to be made at home and consumed right away.
However, I think there is a place for both. Thats why I think that you should consume meal replacement shakes in the morning and other times of day that it is convenient. And if you need more nutrition, then carry a protein bar or two with you for added nutrition throughout the day. Overall however, I think a liquid diet is healthier and better.
