I am male, 16 years old.
I have joined a gym and am looking to gain more muscle all round my body to help with football (soccer) and also for tone.look. Also would like to develop my six pack further.
Is there any tips that people can share and things to avoid? i.e good and bad foods, exercises which help?
Im looking to buy protein shakes, what are the best to buy?
Thanks in advance for any answers!
I am female, 23years old and I weigh 56-58kg around 128lbs. I go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week and do half aerobic and weigh training in each session.
I have been using the maximuscle promax diet shakes, promax shakes and the promax diet bars and crisp bars (not all on the same day).
I want to tone up and lose bodyfat ( body fat % is around 23%).
How much protein should I take? can I take too much?

go to the gym alot, aleast every second day. and if u want to get big quick take some anobolic halo.
diet- protein diet. helps build and sustain muscle growth.
protein shake- depends on what you want. theirs many ways to choose a protein shake like calories or ingredients. i Use AMP’d works just fine.
first of all, stop using that maximuscle stuff, i used to use it and it just kills your money, unless you are rich, in which i would like to become friends with you!
jokes aside, go to http://www.myprotein.co.uk and see the price difference yourself, and the taste is MUCH better (except raspberry but its personal preference). use code MP155783 for 5% off too.
ok it depends what your goals are, if you want to build muscle, you will need to have 128 grams of protein or more daily (1g of protein for every lb of muscle), thats the rule for general body builders. but if you are reducing bodyfat, you need can have as much protein but your overall cals in a day must be under your daily limits. I don’t really follow calorie guidelines like such, but as long as you limit your carbs, esp after during eveings if you are least active then. but form the sounds of things so far, you know what you are doing and are training hard, so i don’t think your gonna have any probs meeting your goal. just use myprotein instead
any enquiries feel free to drop me an email
conventional wisdom says 1 gram per lb of weight. That would be enough for you especially since you are not trying to really build muscle. make sure you are getting at least 30 minutes of cardio tho.
Keep up the good work!
According to the book “the vitamin d cure” three part of lean meat every three part of produce. It’s common for vegan to do wrong and don’t get proteins, but proteins are always needed in human body, so they can get many problems. But vegearian that take protein from pulses, tofu and so on are healty. If you are vegetarian you need to be careful about what type of protein you get, because there are many type. The meat is complete but not all produce are so. Tofu is a rare case, it’s complete like meat (and it do not contain cholesterol)
A diet containing excess protein can have the following adverse effects:
* Adding more protein but not more calories or exercise to your diet won’t help you build more muscle mass, but it may put your other bodily systems under stress.
Ideally, you should consume 0.36 grams of protein for every pound of body weight, according to recommended daily allowances (RDA) set by the Food and Nutrition Board. So if you weigh 170 pounds, you need about 61 grams of protein each day.
Protein should also make up approximately 15% of your total daily caloric intake, also according to the RDA. In a diet of 1,800 calories a day, for example, about 270 of those calories should come from protein.
