I started the Slim Fast plan today. I just had my vanilla shake made in the blender with some ice and 2% milk. I know the directions say you’re supposed to use skim milk, but I didn’t have any skim milk on hand, so I used 2%. I don’t think it matters too, too much – the shake only has 250 cals. with the 2% and 6 grams of fat and also tastes thicker and richer than if I used skim milk.
I’ve been on Slim Fast once before a long time ago and remember getting trally hungry in between meals. One of my favorite snacks to combat hunger is eating some of those Louis Rich seasoned and cooked chicken strips – I love them!! They’re tasty and the protein in them kills my hunger. I’m also drinking at least 64 oz. a day and walkng at least 30 minutes 5-6 times per week.
I’m planning to have a shake for lunch too and then for dinner tonight, I’m making some chicken cacciatore using chicken breasts and Chicken Tonight sauce from a jar served over some spaghetti, and a small salad with some real French dressing (I CAN’T STAND the fat-free or reduced-fat dressings!!!!!).
By the way, I’m 5’4″ and weight 194. I’d like to weigh around 135-140ish. I’m using small goals and my first goal is to get down to 180.
