Wheat intolerance diet advice?

Just been diagnosed with wheat intollerance and considering my whole diet revolves around bread and pasta it’a shock to tha system! Dont really know where to start. Wheat seems to be in everything. There are so many websites about it. All i want is a simple list of foods to have and to avoid and some meal ideas, like what to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Any advice
Sorry should have also mentione that i cant eat too much veg or fruit ( no more than two portions a day) as i get terrible tummy ache and diarreah when i do.

Can anyone tell me what is the best foods to give you energy? I don’t have loads of money to spend and i am a picky eater! I am also suffering from anxiety and depression (being tested for bipolar) so my moods can vary from happy and full of energy to very down and some days i feel ok in myself but have no energy at all! I don’t eat the best diet now, full of chocolate and sugar to give me false energy but as my medication is kicking in i want to help myself and have a whole new life change including my diet so what would you recommend? I am not over weight so this isn’t a diet just need lots of energy

Same here, I got diagnosed with a yeast and wheat intolerance a few weeks ago, it was a pain as that eliminates my student diet.
I now have unleavened bread or rice krispies for breakfast,
Chicken/fish/ham with carrot sticks and celery for lunch
Roast dinners or stir fry for dinner,
I snack on cucumber, chciken (99p from Wilkinsons) and boiled potatoes during the day.
Also try to drink one cup of tea a day, but only one, as it has soem good anti-oxidants (but be careful, it has moul-growing catalystic properties too)
Don’t drink any malted drinks and avoid coffee at all costs.
Simple. Fruit veg and meat, and you’re pretty sorted.
You need to sort the stomach ache out.
Basically, you can’t have ANYTHING processed, as wheat or yeast is always put into them to preserve them longer. Also you shouldn’t eat too much red meat, as again that contains wheat as a preservative. All your food needs to be freshly bought and prepared only by you to enusre there is no wheat in it. Also it sounds carzy, but you will learn to live with the lack of pasta and the veg etc, if your intolerance is as bad as mine, trust me, you’ll get used to it pretty quick. Otherwise the symptoms will come back. I tell myself that everytime I crave a sandwich and the thought of the pain puts me right off

Your picky eating is what is causing this problem. Your diet is loaded with toxic chemicals so your minerals are depleated. Educate yourself. This isnt about losing weight, its about being healthy.

If its flesh colored you are lacking enough iron and should take a herbal iron like Floradix. It will take a month to see a difference. Iron carrys oxygen in your blood and if you dont have it you will feel tired, cold hands and feet, headaches, RLS, dull brittle hair, brittle nails, poor sleep, pale skin (see thru), shortness of breath, fatigue, poor concentration, low mood, ringing in the ears, cracks in the corner of the mouth, dizziness, fainting, sore tongue and canker sores oh and pale mucous membranes in lower eyelid.

Well just eat a balanced diet, chocolate and sugar are a energy drainer. They will give you a 5 minute boost of energy then after it wears off you will feel drained. If you just eat healthily and exercise regularly everything should be fine.

Diets heavy in sugar and caffeine cause a short term increase in energy, then a crash as your body tries to adjust to a normal blood sugar level again.

The best long term process for increasing your energy is exercise and proper diet. Low Carb, Low Fat, and High fiber. along with 30 – 40 min. of aerobic exercise each day.

B-12 is a key ingredient for energy in addition to folic acid. Sugars, in their natural (not man-made) form are also excellent sources of energy, so try eating whole/natural foods.

Most people eat or crave carbohydrates to give themselves the quick boost of energy that chocolate, cakes, cookies and candy provide, but a piece of fruit will give you the sugars though fructose, not the artificial sugars that once digested make you “crash & burn”…that cycle makes you crave yet more sugar, to bring you back up.

Besides, eating fruits and veggies will allow you to remain healthy, while fulfilling your palates desire for sweets.

Your MD may prescribe B-12 shots, and folic acid tablets (the two work together) or there is another medication out there called “Folbic”, but some insurance plans won’t cover it because you can buy both supplements over-the-counter.

Can’t hurt to try eating foods high in B-12 before seeking a prescription, but if all else fails, just remember that natural sugars are exponentially better for you than artificial ones (and they have much less caloric content), so you can munch on things like grapes until you turn blue without packing on extra weight.

Hope this helps…I wish you the best.

If you want something simple, quick, and to me delicious, have a 2.5 net carb slimfast drink. They have 20% protein, which you need for energy, and plenty of vitamins. They come in a can, sometimes powder form, and have different flavors, like chocolate, vanilla, strawberry. Make sure you drink a full glass of water with it also.

My best suggestion is to get more sleep. If you get sleep, your body feels rested and then it will be able to burn carbohydrates faster to give you more energy. Foods or sugars will NOT work. This is because the sugars in them will cause your body to work extra hard to burn them all and after theyre all gone, you will feel extremely tired. Some days when you have no energy, you should just try to shake it off. Your anxiety and depression problems are causing that and honestly, there is nothing you can do about that except the medicine your doctor may proscribe to you. However, if you get more sleep, then your body will probably be able to fight off some of the loss of energy caused by your anxiety and depression.

    hope i helped =)
